Hey there friends and family,
This week’s column is titled “Try a little compassion.” Have you found it easy to show compassion toward a friend or family member — or even a stranger — who’s having a tough time but you get angry or frustrated with yourself when your own life falls short of your ideals?
Be nice to yourself this week and have a good one!
Love,
Annette

Howdy friends and family,
This week’s column is titled “Come hell, hay or high water!” My husband inadvertently taught me a lesson this weekend on how to set priorities and keep them.
Happy week to all!

Hey there friends and family!
I’m a few days late in sharing this!
This past week’s column was titled “Surprise me!” My husband surprised me last night. But now I’m wondering if my surprise had more to do with my low expectations than it did in his action. (”Last night” was on the Fourth of July!)
My columns are also being published in the Religion and Spirituality section on www.examiner.com. If you haven’t checked out this website yet, here’s a link to this column.

Dear friends and family,
Today I learned about the penning of the hymn “America,” as many of us call it. I don’t remember ever knowing anything about its origin before now.
The link for today’s column on the Dallas Examiner site is below. And you’ll also find a video link to the complete rendition of “America” at this page:

Happy Fourth of July weekend folks!
