What to do when we goof

Posted in Uncategorized at 8:27 am by Annette

Any American Idol fans out there?????

My inspiration for this column came from watching how Brooke White handled her “goof” last week. One of my first thoughts was - I’m glad I don’t have millions watching me when I goof!!!!

Why do we believe the worst?

Posted in Uncategorized at 10:53 pm by Annette

Could it be that we tend to believe the worst because we want the worst to be true?
Yes, I did have politics and the election year on my mind as I wrote this column. But I think this question could apply to many aspects of our lives.

You may at first be thinking, “Of course I don’t want the worst to be true! Why would I want the worst to be true?”

I invite you to read my UPI religion and spirituality column this week titled, “Why do we believe the worst?” I welcome your thoughts and ideas!

You can share your ideas on this blog or in the comment section that follows my UPI column. I’m told you should receive a confirmation email before your comments are published. So, do look for that email. Sometimes it seems to land in the spam box.

Thanks for taking the time to share your opinions and inspirations. You bless others by sharing! And you bless me, too!

A daffodil story

Posted in Uncategorized at 9:53 pm by Annette

Hey there!

Okay, once again I’m going to try and be consistent with blogging.  My current plan is to write a new post each Wednesday – the day my UPI column is published.  And my intent is to give an intro to my weekly column.

You will notice that the format for my UPI column has changed to include the opportunity for readers to post their comments. I hope you will take advantage of this venue for communicating with me and the rest of the internet world. Your ideas and insights would be greatly appreciated and valued.

You of course are also welcome to comment on the blog section of this website, too!

Today’s column is titled: “A daffodil story.” It was inspired by an email I received whose subject was the same. We all receive tons of forwarded emails from friends and family and I suspect you are like me and don’t take the time to read all of them.

This one came with many lessons and one in particular continues to give me pause to ponder.

I hope you enjoy my column and I look forward to reading your thoughts!

Have a great week!

Annette
