My first entry below was actually written a couple of weeks ago as a practice, but I’ve decided to leave it for your comments.

Here we go . . .
Last night John and I attended a community outdoor concert appropriately titled: Hot Summer Nights. The concerts happen every Thursday evening and have featured a variety of types of bands.
Last night was a band who has named theirselves: Hard Night’s Day. They are a Beatle’s tribute band.
It was fun to hear many great Beatle’s tunes. And the poor band members were dressed in black suits, much like my memory of the Beatle’s when they first appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show.
I say poor band members because when the concert began it was a nice balmy 99 degrees outside.
In previous concerts, many folks don’t stay the entire time. But interestingly enough, last night’s show was an exception. I didn’t see anyone leaving early. And after the band played their final song, folks yelled for “MORE”. So, the band treated the audience to one more song - “Hey, Jude”. Everyone stood, waving arms in the air and sang along. Very fun! This too, has not happened at previous concerts.
I think no one left early because everyone has their favorite song and folks kept waiting to hear theirs. Of course, it is impossible to play every Beatle’s song in a 2 hour concert!
I don’t know what it is about the Beatle’s music that captures the hearts and souls of so many. What do you think?
